Welcome

NextNotes is where the team plans the work of building the site. It is small on purpose: write a ticket, pick it up, finish it.

This journal is a quick tour. Click a bookmark on the right edge and the book turns to that page.

Tickets

A ticket is one thing that needs doing. Type a title in the menu on the left and press Add. The new ticket opens straight in edit mode, ready for details.

Click a ticket in the menu to read it. The pencil edits it, the eye goes back to reading, and the bin icon moves it to the Bin.

Statuses

• To do: nobody has started it yet.
• In progress: someone is on it, and their initials show next to it in the menu.
• Done: finished. It moves to the Done folder.

Deleted tickets wait in the Bin until you restore them or delete them for good.

Teamwork

When you start a ticket, set it to In progress and add your name. That way nobody picks up the same thing, and everyone can see who is on what.

Use the notes box for details, links and decisions, so the next person does not have to ask.

Make it yours

The button at the top of the menu closes it, and the one in the corner opens it again. Drag the right edge of the menu to make it a bit wider or narrower.

Dark mode and Themes at the bottom of the menu change the colours. NextNotes remembers your choices in this browser.
